I've been told I should write a book . . . Well, I don't have time for that but, I may just have time to keep this blog going . . .
My name is Katie Walker. I live in a rural part of east Texas with my husband, two kids and two senior kitty cats. Before we settled down in our 1940s home (and before we had kids), my husband and I traveled around the continental United States in a 5th-wheel RV and then the Gulf Coast and the Caribbean in a 38-ft. sailboat (check out our sailing adventures here).
I am a 30-something teacher who has worked in a variety of settings. I am very close to finishing my master's degree in education. I currently teach ESL to elementary and middle school-aged kids online. I also homeschool our super smart 4 year old. My husband is an engineer and retired Navy veteran. We love spending time with each other and our kids, as well as our family and friends.
Being a teacher, I love sharing what I know with others and gaining insight from those around me. When I do get a few minutes to myself, I enjoy picking up a good historical fiction, working on one of the many projects that our 80+ year old home necessitates or getting creative with a fun art project.
